Trio Vibe is a Tampa-based jazz group featuring vibraphonist Sam Koppelman and bassist Philip Booth.
The trio's mix of bebop, standards, blues and bossas was heard live on WMNF's Charles Vann Jazz Party. Check out the download of the show here.

Trio Vibe was recently featured in the St. Petersburg Times' TBT. The group's debut CD, (Almost) Live at Springs Theatre, was featured in Curtis Ross's round-up of Tampa Bay area artists: "Sam Koppelman's vibraphone takes center-stage here, with solid backing from and occasional spotlights for bassist Philip Booth and drummer Don Capone. Jazz standards dominate but check out Booth's “Zag” and the Beatles “Norwegian Wood” as well."
Philip and Sam wish to express our sadness over the loss of Don Capone, the original Trio Vibe drummer, who passed away Feb. 12 at age 65. We will greatly miss Don's friendship and musical talents.
